The star has handed over the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound Mercury Prize cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the UK's grassroots live music spots.
Fender was given the award on mid-October as his latest record his work was chosen as the outstanding release of the last 12 months.
He has decided to give the cash to the MVT, in acknowledgment of the essential function grassroots venues played in his beginning days.
"As an artist would not have achieved my current career if it weren't for all the shows I played around the region, and further afield, when I was starting out," remarked Fender. "These locations are iconic, but they are struggling."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these locations have shut down – approximately 16% of the entire UK sector.
Recently, top acts like the band Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by including a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which goes to help local stages.
Fender also joined in, raising over £100k on his recent tour to assist numerous local spots across Britain.
The donation supported spaces that were confronting imminent closure due to issues arising from water damage, fires and personal losses, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and sound issues.
Other venues were granted funding support in upgrading facilities and technical equipment that positively impacted musicians and concertgoers.
"The notion that money from shows in major spaces supports the smaller venues, where it begins for artists like me, is just sensible," Fender has commented.
He is not the first artist to give his honor prize money to charitable organizations.
In they earned the prize in the mid-90s for their album Different Class, vocalist the singer stated that the band would give their cash to the charity War Child.

"I also gave a grand to Highgate Newtown, to their classes, because I did gymnastics when I was younger and they needed new equipment," Ms Dynamite explained to the media.
Previously, the band contributed their prize money to the community center that nurtured their act, in addition to other local music groups.
Additionally the 1994 recipients they contributed their award to a MS organization after a friend was identified with the condition.
"Receiving the award was ample," remarked vocalist Small. "The money was the cherry on top but we could do without the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our victory impacted the lives of others."
Last week, the MVT revealed it had saved a couple of local spots in that region, by bringing them into local control.
One venue in the city and The Croft in that location were acquired under the Own Our Venues scheme, which is supported by a national body and enthusiasts who buy "ownership units" in the buildings.
